Daily life
TARA WARDLE is a sophomore at Miami University. She plans on graduating with a degree in English/creative writing and a degree in Religion. She would classify her piece as a quirky piece of prose poetry.
Every day before I leave the house, I look in the mirror. Some days are worse than others. I usually have an overall feel of homelessness. No matter how much I try, I can still be mistaken for living in a box. I could spend hours doing my hair and the girl next to me in class still looks better with her high bun. I see high bun girl and her boyfriend in the hallway after class every day. I look around and realize I am surrounded by happy, beautiful couples and think to myself, “I could learn to love cats”.
